For Tenants

Pay rent.

Anytime you need to pay rent, log in to your tenant portal.

Tenants have access to what is referred to as the tenant portal; this will be activated after the application has been approved. There are a couple of options to pay rent; the options include the following:

Best option

eCheck

Making a rent payment with an eCheck, using your bank account and routing number, is the easiest option and there are no additional fees. After selecting the eCheck option, you’ll need to enter your bank account and routing number and continue until you’ve paid the amount you wish. After this payment, you will automatically receive an emailed receipt, and the payment will be posted to your tenant ledger without any delay. If you pay on or before the first, it will be considered on time even if the money takes a few days to withdraw from your account.

Credit or Debit Card

After selecting the debit/credit card option, you’ll need to enter in your card number, expiration date, CVV & billing address, and continue until you’ve paid the amount you wish. Payments with a card will still send you an immediate emailed receipt, and they will post to your tenant ledger the same day, but card payments incur an additional, variable service fee, which is charged by the software company.

Personal check, cashier’s check, or money order

You can obtain a check or money order made out to Landmark Real Estate for your rent amount and either mail or bring that check to our office, which is located at 455 W Stuart Rd, Bellingham, WA 98226 (note: if you require a receipt, you’ll need to bring the check to our office). You may also put checks in our drop box, located on the outside of the building to the right of the front door.

Electronic cash payment

Prefer to pay with cash? Generate a pay slip (barcode) from your tenant portal, then take it to a participating store: 7-Eleven, Kroger, Walmart, Ace Cash Express, CVS, Walgreens, or Casey’s. The cashier scans the barcode and the payment transfers to your account like a regular payment. A $4.99 processing fee applies per payment, with per-store maximums: up to $2,999.99 at Kroger, Walmart, and Ace Cash Express; $2,000 at CVS, Walgreens, and Casey’s; and $1,500 at 7-Eleven.
